The long-running dispute between Pakistani actor Fahad Mustafa and YouTuber Rajab Butt has returned to the spotlight after veteran actor Waseem Abbas shared his views during a recent podcast. Speaking about the controversy, Abbas criticized Rajab Butt for what he described as disrespectful remarks toward established figures in the entertainment industry while also disagreeing with some of Fahad Mustafa’s comments.
The controversy originally began after Fahad Mustafa criticized family vloggers, accusing them of using their families for online views and popularity. Responding to questions about the issue, Waseem Abbas strongly defended Fahad’s standing in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. He described Fahad Mustafa as one of the country’s biggest stars and questioned Rajab Butt’s level of recognition, saying Fahad’s success and nationwide popularity placed him in a completely different category.
Abbas also remarked that anyone unfamiliar with Fahad Mustafa must have little knowledge of Pakistan’s entertainment industry. He admitted that he had never watched Rajab Butt’s online content but acknowledged that the YouTuber enjoys significant popularity on digital platforms. However, he maintained that Fahad’s television career, particularly his success with Jeeto Pakistan, has earned him unmatched recognition across the country.
Despite supporting Fahad Mustafa, Waseem Abbas said the actor should not have made broad remarks about family vloggers. He also criticized Rajab Butt’s response, saying that although he had every right to disagree, he could have expressed his opinion more respectfully instead of escalating the conflict.
Abbas’ balanced stance has received positive reactions on social media, with many viewers praising him for criticizing both sides instead of taking a one-sided position.
The disagreement first gained attention after Fahad Mustafa’s comments about family vloggers went viral. Rajab Butt later responded during a podcast in Dubai, arguing that respect should be earned through professionalism rather than seniority. He also rejected allegations that family vloggers exploit their relatives and accused Fahad Mustafa of benefiting from other people’s families in his own television content, calling the criticism inconsistent.
