FIA Offloads Passengers at Karachi Airport in Job Scam Case

The FIA Immigration staff offloaded two passengers at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi. The passengers were reportedly traveling to Azerbaijan for employment purposes.

According to officials, both individuals were stopped during immigration clearance. The action was taken after suspicion arose about their travel documents and purpose of visit.

The FIA later detained both passengers for further questioning. Authorities said the case is linked to a wider job scam involving illegal overseas employment offers.

Investigators revealed that a travel agent named Raja Saeed was involved in the case. He allegedly collected large amounts of money from job seekers by promising work opportunities in Azerbaijan.

The FIA stated that Raja Saeed received around Rs1.8 million from four individuals. The money was taken in exchange for arranging jobs abroad.

Officials further said that Rs400,000 was transferred through banking channels. The remaining amount was collected through other informal transactions.

According to preliminary findings, the victims were misled with fake employment promises. They were later sent on visit visas instead of proper work permits.

The FIA believes that visit visas were misused to facilitate illegal employment travel. This raised serious concerns about organized fraud and human trafficking networks.

Authorities arrested travel agent Raja Saeed along with other suspects involved in the case. The FIA has also begun reviewing their previous criminal and financial records.

Officials said legal proceedings have been initiated against all accused persons. Investigators are working to identify whether more people are involved in the network.

The FIA warned that strict action will be taken against individuals involved in fraudulent overseas job schemes. They also urged citizens to verify job offers before making any payments.

Airport immigration teams have been instructed to remain alert during passenger screening. The FIA said such monitoring helps prevent illegal migration and visa misuse.

Authorities added that operations like these are part of ongoing efforts to protect citizens from exploitation. The agency continues to focus on cracking down on human trafficking and fake recruitment scams.
