Former Pakistani film star and stage performer Nargis has shared details about her spiritual beliefs, career, and life after leaving the entertainment industry. Speaking during a recent interview, Nargis said that paying Zakat regularly helped purify her earnings from showbiz and remained an important part of her financial practices throughout her career.
According to local media reports, Nargis explained that she always considered Zakat a religious obligation and ensured that a portion of her income was set aside for charity. She stated that after she began earning in the entertainment industry in 1992, she never brought her full income home without first giving 2.5 percent as Zakat. According to her, it would be difficult for critics to find inappropriate dance performances in her body of work.
