Portuguese football legend and Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged that his professional playing career is now moving towards its final stage, while encouraging fans to appreciate every match he plays.

Ronaldo stated that retirement is becoming a reality he cannot ignore. “I am near the end of my career. It is a reality,” he said, while emphasizing that he still wants to enjoy football one game at a time instead of focusing too far ahead.

Speaking to Brazilian media, the 40-year-old forward highlighted that his motivation goes beyond just the present generation of fans and players. He explained that he sees his journey as something meaningful for football lovers of the past, present, and future. According to him, his career has always been about inspiring different generations and leaving a lasting impact on the sport.

“I am not just playing for this generation, but also for the previous and upcoming generations,” Ronaldo said, underlining his global mindset and long-standing influence in football.

Despite approaching the end of his career, Ronaldo made it clear that his hunger for success remains strong. He stressed that winning trophies is still his top priority, especially with Al Nassr. The Portuguese star expressed his determination to achieve success in Saudi Arabia, stating that the Saudi Pro League title remains a major goal for him and his team.

“The most important thing is winning, and we really want to win the Saudi Pro League,” he added.

Currently playing in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo said he continues to enjoy every match he participates in, even as he enters the final phase of his professional journey. He emphasized that football still brings him joy and satisfaction, and he intends to maintain that passion until the very end of his career.
