Iran Denies Claims of Enriched Uranium Transfer to Russia Amid Ongoing US Talks

Talks between the United States and Iran are ongoing, but several key issues remain unresolved. One of the main concerns is Iran’s nuclear program, especially its stockpile of enriched Uranium. The issue has gained attention as new statements from different sides have created uncertainty.

Russia has recently indicated its willingness to assist in the transfer of enriched Uranium from Iran. Alexey Likhachev, head of Rosatom, said the country is considering facilitating such a move. His remarks suggest that Moscow may play a role if an agreement is reached.

Likhachev explained that technical challenges exist, but trust remains the biggest issue. The lack of trust between the United States and Iran continues to slow progress. This situation has made negotiations more complicated.

Russia has experience in handling such matters. In 2015, it helped transfer enriched Uranium from Iran under an earlier agreement. Officials say this past cooperation could be repeated if both sides agree.

The issue has become more sensitive after comments by Donald Trump. He recently claimed that a new agreement with Iran is close. He also suggested that Iran may hand over around 440 kilograms of enriched material. However, Iran has strongly denied these claims.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has rejected reports about any deal involving Uranium transfer. Officials said no such agreement has been finalized. They also stated that Iran will not give up its nuclear rights.

Tehran insists that its nuclear program is peaceful. It says its activities are allowed under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. According to Iranian officials, the country has the right to enrich Uranium for civilian purposes.

The ministry also criticized Western media reports, calling them inaccurate. It said decisions on sensitive issues cannot be made without a broader framework. Talks between Iran and the United States are still at an early stage.

Experts believe the issue of enriched Uranium will remain central to negotiations. The outcome of these talks could shape future relations and regional stability.
