SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company) has announced a temporary gas suspension for industrial consumers, captive power plants, and CNG stations due to high demand during the winter season.
According to the company, gas supply to these sectors will be suspended for 48 hours, starting from 8:00 am on January 17 and continuing until 8:00 am on January 19.
Purpose of Suspension
SSGC said the move is aimed at maintaining adequate gas pressure across the network. The company emphasized that residential and commercial consumers will continue to receive gas during this period.
Officials explained that the temporary suspension is necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply to homes and businesses. SSGC urged industrial users and CNG operators to adjust their operations accordingly.
Routine Load-Shedding Continues
The company also confirmed that its regular gas load-shedding schedule, from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am, will remain in effect. All other gas load management measures for residential and commercial sectors will continue as usual.
SSGC stressed that these steps are precautionary and part of standard winter load management procedures. The company is closely monitoring gas supply and demand to prevent disruptions.
