Music companies have sued Twitter for $250 million for’massive’ copyright infringement.

The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) is suing Twitter on behalf of 17 music publishers who represent some of the industry’s top musicians. According to the lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in Tennessee, the corporation “fuels its business with countless infringing copies of musical compositions, violating Publishers’ and others’ exclusive rights under copyright law.”
