Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the nation’s flag carrier, found itself ranked at the bottom of the list due to various factors, including internal mismanagement and persistent financial challenges.
The CAA report highlights that PIA’s punctuality performance was notably poor during the January-June 2023 period. Their on-time departure rate for domestic flights during this time frame stood at 58.24%, significantly lower than other airlines operating in the country.

Conversely, private airlines in Pakistan exhibited more robust punctuality records. Leading the pack was Fly Jinnah, boasting an impressive on-time departure rate of 87.93%. Air Sial closely followed at 86.89%, with Air Blue not far behind at 78.36%. Even Serene Airlines outperformed the national carrier, securing the fourth spot with a punctuality rate of 62%.
