The air quality index (AQI) for Lahore on May 8 is recorded at 80, indicating moderate air quality.
The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a heatwave warning on Wednesday, anticipating a rise in temperatures by three to five degrees Celsius from May 8 to May 10. Additionally, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are predicted for various parts of Punjab throughout the week.
In particular, South Punjab is expected to receive heavy rainfall from May 10 to 11, posing a threat to crops. The Meteorological Office has urged the public to take precautionary measures, and district administrations have been alerted about the weather conditions.
The PMD also forecasts rain, dust storms, and thunderstorms in several districts from May 10 to 12. Cities such as Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, as well as southern cities like Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Bahawalpur, are likely to experience rainfall on May 10 and 11.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
