Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, pledging to align local labor laws with international standards and prioritize occupational safety and health. He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by workers in their fight for rights and announced plans for a National Tripartite Labour Conference to address safety concerns.
Both leaders underscored the importance of addressing challenges such as inflation, unemployment, and climate change impacts on the workforce.
