The Punjab Parwaaz Card initiative has been launched to provide financial support to residents seeking overseas employment opportunities. The scheme offers interest-free loans of up to Rs. 1 million to eligible workers who need assistance with pre-departure expenses.
The program has been introduced by the Punjab government through the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF). It aims to reduce one of the biggest challenges faced by overseas job seekers, which is arranging money for visa processing, medical tests, travel costs, and other required expenses.
The Punjab Parwaaz Card financing facility is available only for individuals who already have a confirmed job offer from another country. Applicants must prove that they have secured overseas employment before applying for financial assistance.
The scheme is designed to support skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers. Both male and female applicants can apply if they meet the required eligibility conditions. Officials said the initiative will help more people access legal overseas employment opportunities.
To qualify for the program, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and permanent residency in Punjab. In addition, applicants must hold a confirmed overseas employment offer.
Another requirement is related to salary limits. Applicants must have an overseas job offer with a monthly salary below SAR 5,000 or an equivalent amount in another foreign currency.
The interest-free loan can be used for several necessary costs connected with overseas employment. These expenses include visa application and processing fees, medical examinations, airfare, protector registration charges, skills testing, and verification expenses.
The loan can also cover payments made to licensed Overseas Employment Promoters. Eligible applicants may receive up to Rs. 1 million, depending on the approved expenses required for their foreign employment process.
Applications for the Punjab Parwaaz Card can be submitted online through the official portal. Applicants need to create an account, provide personal details, enter employment information, upload required documents, and complete the digital application form.
The online system also allows applicants to track the progress of their loan applications. This feature is expected to improve transparency and make the process easier for workers.
Authorities said every application will go through a verification process before approval. Applications containing incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information may be rejected. Applicants are advised to provide accurate details and valid documents during submission.
