The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain, wind, and thunderstorms across most parts of the country throughout the week, with intermittent breaks anticipated.
A westerly wave is set to approach the western regions by April 24 and is expected to affect the upper regions by April 26, bringing rain, wind, and thunderstorms to various areas.

In Balochistan, rainfall with isolated heavy falls is expected in several districts from April 24 to April 27. Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to experience rain, windstorms, thunderstorms, and snowfall over high mountains from April 25 to April 29, with occasional hailstorms.
Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, and Sindh are also expected to witness rainfall, thunderstorms, and snowfall in high mountains during the mentioned period.
The forecasted weather may lead to flash floods in local nullahs/streams in Balochistan, while landslides are possible in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan. Windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning may pose risks to human lives, crops, and infrastructure.
Farmers are advised to manage their crops considering the weather conditions, and tourists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel from April 26 to April 29. Temperature is expected to decrease during this wet spell.
