Nawaz Sharif Urges Coalition With Independents, Political Parties

Nawaz Sharif asserts PML-N’s “single-largest party” status in Election 2024. He invites winning candidates and political parties to collaborate for a coalition government to navigate Pakistan through its current crises. Despite trailing PTI-backed candidates, Nawaz Sharif delivers what is considered a triumphant speech, assigning his brother Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar to engage with PPP, MQM, and other parties to find common ground.

He emphasizes the need for collective efforts, urging politicians, parliament, and the armed forces to contribute to the country’s prosperity. PML-N, as per unofficial results, has secured 63 National Assembly seats, while independent candidates lead with 91 seats, and PPP is in the third position with 48 seats. Nawaz Sharif also claims a majority for his party in Punjab, expressing the intention to serve in both the center and the province.

Acknowledging the critical state of Pakistan, he highlights the importance of unity and collaboration to address the country’s challenges.
