The Punjab government has decided to introduce legislation to establish the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Treatment and Research Institute, with a draft law prepared by the provincial health department.

According to the draft, the institute will be governed by a 13-member board, led by the Punjab Chief Minister. Its primary mission is to provide free cancer treatment to underprivileged patients, while others will have the option to pay either partially or fully for their treatment.
