Lahore Traffic Police have launched a citywide crackdown against vehicles whose owners have failed to pay their outstanding e-challans.
The operation is being carried out at 17 major locations across Lahore as authorities step up efforts to recover unpaid traffic fines and improve compliance with traffic regulations.
Special teams deployed across Lahore
According to officials, special traffic police teams have been deployed at key locations throughout the city.
The teams are checking vehicles and identifying those with outstanding traffic violations and unpaid e-challan dues.
Vehicle owners found with pending fines will be directed to clear their outstanding payments.
Vehicles may be impounded
Authorities have warned that vehicle owners who fail to comply with the instructions could face further action.
Officials said vehicles may be impounded if their owners refuse or fail to clear the unpaid dues.
The crackdown is aimed at ensuring that motorists take responsibility for traffic violations and settle fines issued against their vehicles.
Traffic enforcement tightened
The latest operation comes as Lahore Traffic Police continue strengthening enforcement measures across the city.
The use of e-challans has enabled authorities to record traffic violations electronically, while the latest crackdown focuses on motorists who have not paid the resulting fines.
Citizens with outstanding e-challans are therefore being urged to clear their dues to avoid possible enforcement action or vehicle impoundment.
