Iran has strongly rejected claims that it agreed to transfer its enriched Uranium to the United States. The denial comes amid ongoing tensions and sensitive negotiations between the two countries.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei dismissed the reports as false. He said that transferring enriched Uranium has never been part of Iran’s official position. He added that such claims cannot be confirmed and are based on speculation.
Baghaei stressed that Uranium is of great importance to Iran. He described it as equal in value to the country’s territorial integrity. According to him, Iran will not allow its nuclear material to be moved abroad under any circumstances.
He also clarified that no such proposal has been discussed in current negotiations. Iran continues to maintain full control over its nuclear programme. Officials say this stance reflects the country’s focus on sovereignty and national security.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran agreed to cooperate on handling its enriched Uranium. He said both sides could work together to remove the material from Iran. However, he also noted that no American ground troops would be involved in such an effort.
The differing statements highlight a clear gap between both sides. While the US signals progress, Iran firmly denies any agreement on Uranium transfer. This disagreement adds uncertainty to the ongoing diplomatic process.
Baghaei also warned that continued pressure or blockade could affect the ceasefire. He said Iran may respond if its interests are threatened. He referred to the Strait of Hormuz, signaling possible escalation if tensions rise further.
In terms of negotiations, Iran has clear priorities. Officials say lifting economic sanctions remains the main goal. They also seek compensation for damages caused during the conflict.
Trump, meanwhile, denied reports about releasing billions of dollars to Iran. He said the US would not pay any amount in exchange for the Uranium issue. Despite disagreements, he expressed hope that the conflict could end soon.
Iran has also denied claims of direct talks with US leadership. This further shows the lack of alignment between the two sides. Experts believe the situation remains fragile.

The conflicting narratives from Washington and Tehran show that a final agreement is still uncertain. The issue of Uranium continues to be a key point in the negotiations.
