Around 15 tourists were observed stranded on roads in the renowned hilly area of Galyat due to heavy snowfall.
Local media reports indicated that on Wednesday night, tourists found themselves stuck in their vehicles in the Galyat region of Abbottabad district.

In response, rescue teams from 1122 were mobilized to extricate the tourists from the slippery roads as they faced challenging circumstances.
Numerous tourist vehicles were retrieved from Galyat and other areas affected by snow.
While the allure of snow-covered Galiyat enticed tourists, both the district administration and Rescue 1122 emphasized the risks of skidding on snow-covered roads. Officials urged the public to adhere to safety protocols when traveling in the region during this season.
Various areas, including Galyat, experienced snowfall due to the influence of a westerly wave affecting upper and central regions of Pakistan.
The Meteorological Office issued warnings of rain, windstorms, and snowfall over hills in Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Mardan.
