US President Donald Trump has claimed that the conflict with Iran could come to an end after the November midterm elections. He also predicted that oil prices would decline once the polls are over.
Trump said negotiations with Iran were still possible. He indicated that his efforts concerning Tehran went beyond reaching a nuclear agreement.
The US president did not provide a clear timeline for a possible settlement. However, his comments suggested that diplomatic options remain under consideration despite the continuing military tensions.

Meanwhile, international oil prices remained elevated after Brent crude moved above the $100-a-barrel mark. Markets have been preparing for further supply disruptions as the conflict between Iran and the United States intensifies.
Brent crude was reported at around $101.10 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate stood near $96.24 a barrel.
The rise in oil prices has increased concerns about the global energy market. Any disruption to oil production or shipping routes could place further pressure on international crude supplies.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a major concern for traders and governments. The waterway is an important route for global oil shipments, and any restrictions could affect energy prices worldwide.
US Aircraft Reportedly Damaged in Jordan
US media reports said several American military aircraft were damaged during missile strikes on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
According to reports, an A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft was hit by an Iranian missile. The strike reportedly destroyed one of the aircraft’s wings.
The reports also said around eight F-15 fighter jets sustained minor damage. The aircraft were reportedly repaired and returned to service.
Earlier reports indicated that the US military had begun moving helicopters away from the Muwaffaq Salti airbase. The reported movements came amid concerns over further attacks in the region.
The alleged damage to US aircraft highlights the growing risks faced by American forces stationed in the Middle East. It also reflects the wider impact of the conflict beyond Iran and the United States.
Iran Rejects US Accusations
Iran has rejected US accusations concerning Yemen’s Ansarullah movement. Tehran said Washington must end what it described as destabilising intervention if it genuinely wants peace.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Ansarullah was an independent Yemeni organisation. He said the group made its own decisions and did not receive instructions from another country.
Baghaei also rejected the description of Ansarullah as an Iranian proxy. He argued that the group’s actions should not be directly attributed to Tehran.
According to the Iranian spokesperson, US military involvement and what he called hegemonic policies were the main causes of instability in the region.
Baghaei said peace in Yemen could not be achieved through military strikes or external pressure. He argued that a lasting settlement would require genuine negotiations.
He also called for a roadmap agreed upon by all sides. Iran’s position suggests that Tehran wants the Yemen conflict to be addressed through diplomacy rather than further military action.
The exchange between Washington and Tehran comes as regional tensions continue to affect oil markets and security conditions. Any further escalation could increase pressure on global energy supplies.
