The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has given his approval to the Safe City Authority Project for Gujranwala. He announced this decision during his visit to the city known as the ‘City of Wrestlers.’
Regarding the project, the CM mentioned that it is already in progress and is expected to be completed within four months. During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi provided updates to the media about various ongoing initiatives in the city.

He mentioned that Gujranwala will soon have another university, with land already acquired for this purpose. Additionally, he assured that the construction of the road from Benazir Chowk in Gujranwala to the Wahandu Interchange on M3 would proceed as scheduled.
CM Mohsin Naqvi also paid visits to the District Head Quarters (DHQ) Hospital in Gujranwala and the Gujranwala Teaching Hospital and Medical College. He instructed the hospital staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the medical facilities.
During a meeting with the CM, patients expressed their concerns about the lack of hospital facilities. They pointed out that there was a shortage of drip stands in the hospital. Furthermore, attendants raised issues with the hospital administration for charging Rs. 300 for changing patients’ diapers.
Mohsin Naqvi also directed the Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala to conduct an inquiry into the tragic death of a girl, which occurred at her mother’s request. The mother blamed the doctors for her daughter’s unfortunate demise.
