The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs1,715. It reached Rs396,035 on Monday as international bullion prices continued to rise.
International gold gained $20 per ounce to reach $4,395. The increase in global prices directly influenced the latest movement in Pakistan’s domestic gold market.
Silver also became more expensive on Monday. Its price increased by Rs80 per tola, taking the latest rate to Rs7,029.
Gold prices also showed differences across major Pakistani markets. In Lahore, the reported selling price for a gold piece was Rs454,500, while the buying rate was Rs455,000.
The Lahore Pathoor rate was reported at Rs448,000 on the selling side, with the buying rate at Rs450,000. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs417,083 and 21-karat gold at Rs398,125.
In Karachi, the latest selling price for gold was reported at Rs454,700. Market rates can vary between cities depending on local demand and trading conditions.
The latest increase comes after gold prices experienced some pressure in the domestic market during the previous sessions. International bullion movements continue to play a major role in determining local gold rates.
Investors and consumers are closely monitoring global gold prices as international market movements, currency trends and economic uncertainty continue to influence precious metals.
The latest rise means gold remains significantly expensive for consumers looking to purchase jewellery or make new investments in the precious metal.
