The Punjab School Education Department has announced 13 vacancies under the Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) for qualified and experienced professionals.
The positions have been announced as part of an Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded education program aimed at improving secondary education across Punjab.
The program will focus on several key areas, including STEM education, improvement of school facilities, gender inclusion and climate resilience.
13 positions announced
The vacancies include specialist, coordination, analytical, administrative and procurement positions at different PPS levels.
The department is hiring one Digital Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and one STEM/STEAM Specialist.
One vacancy each has also been announced for Procurement and Contracts Management Specialist, Capacity Development Specialist, IT Specialist, and Environment and Climate Specialist.
The department is further hiring a Social Safeguard Specialist and a Gender Specialist, with both positions placed at PPS-10.
Two vacancies are available for Technical Coordinator at PPS-09.
At PPS-08, the department has announced one position each for Database Analyst and Admin Officer.
One vacancy has also been announced for Procurement Assistant at PPS-07.
Qualification and experience requirements
Most specialist-level positions require candidates to hold a Master’s degree or 16 years of education in a relevant field.
Applicants are also required to have relevant professional experience, with requirements varying according to the position.
Most PPS-10 specialist positions require at least five years of relevant experience, while some posts require previous experience working on donor-funded projects.
The Technical Coordinator position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience, with the maximum age limit set at 45 years.
Candidates applying for the Database Analyst and Admin Officer positions must have at least three years of relevant experience. The maximum age limit for both positions is 45 years.
The Procurement Assistant position also requires at least three years of relevant experience, while its maximum age limit is 40 years.
For most PPS-10 specialist positions, the maximum age limit is 50 years.
ADB-funded education initiative
The recruitment is being carried out under an ADB-supported program designed to strengthen secondary education in Punjab.
The initiative aims to improve learning opportunities and school infrastructure while promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.
It also includes measures related to gender inclusion and climate resilience, making the recruitment relevant to a wide range of professional fields.
The specialists recruited under the program are expected to support monitoring, implementation, procurement, technology, environmental safeguards, gender-related initiatives and capacity development.
