Extremely Hot Weather Spell Expected to Continue Across Sindh and Balochistan

An intense spell of Hot Weather continues across many parts of Pakistan, especially in Sindh and Balochistan, where temperatures remain dangerously high. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that the dry and extremely warm conditions are expected to continue in the coming days.

According to the Met Office, Turbat is likely to remain one of the hottest cities in the country. The temperature there is expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius. Mithi, Jacobabad, and Nawabshah may also experience temperatures as high as 44 degrees Celsius.

Officials said Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana are also facing severe Hot Weather conditions. Temperatures in these cities are expected to rise to around 42 degrees Celsius.

Karachi witnessed a slight drop in temperature compared to previous days. However, the weather in the port city remains hot and dry. The Met Office predicted that the temperature in Karachi could still reach 38 degrees Celsius.

Weather experts have also warned about another heatwave in Sindh starting from May 7. In Karachi, another strong spell of rising temperatures is expected to begin from May 13.

The Met Office further stated that no rainfall is expected in Karachi during May based on current weather calculations. Officials advised residents to stay careful during the ongoing heat conditions.

Citizens have been urged to avoid direct sunlight during peak daytime hours. Authorities also recommended drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

Karachi recently experienced one of its hottest days of the summer season. Earlier this week, temperatures crossed 40 degrees Celsius due to the suspension of sea breeze and the arrival of hot northwesterly winds.

The combination of dry winds and high temperatures pushed the city into heatwave-like conditions. The extreme Hot Weather has reportedly affected daily life in several areas.

According to reports, the ongoing heatwave has also caused fatalities in Karachi. At least 14 deaths have been linked to the severe weather conditions over the past two days. Eight deaths were reported on Monday alone.

Health experts are advising elderly people, children, and outdoor workers to take extra precautions. Medical professionals warned that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to serious health complications.
