The all-format captain was revealed to have cooperated calmly with the officials and was not found to be a defaulter. He was identified as a conscientious taxpayer. Officials, however, advised Pakistan’s captain to change his license plate.

There were initial suspicions that the car owed token taxes. The token tax payment, however, was later discovered to have been made.

The excise team thanked Babar Azam for his assistance and even took selfies with the cricket sensation, which quickly went viral on social media.

It is worth noting that the Lahore-born cricketer has been having a good time at home following the recently concluded series against New Zealand.

The home team won the five-match ODI series 4-1, while the five-match T20I series ended in a 2-2 draw, with one game being rained out in Rawalpindi due to heavy rain.

The right-handed batter had an outstanding white-ball series, scoring 5,000 ODI runs and 12,000 international runs.

The 28-year-old became the fastest batter in cricket history to complete 5,000 runs, surpassing Hashim Amla, and the second fastest to complete 12,000 runs, trailing only Virat Kohli.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
