The affected constituencies include NA-88 Khushab, Sindh’s PS-18 Ghotki, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s PK-90 Kohat. Results for these constituencies have been put on hold, and re-polling has been scheduled for February 15.

For NA-28, the ECP reported instances where polling material was forcibly seized and set ablaze at 26 polling stations. Consequently, the electoral authority decided to conduct fresh voting at these particular polling stations on February 15.
In PS-18, unidentified individuals reportedly snatched polling material from officials at two polling stations. The ECP has mandated a re-vote at these locations in the upcoming week.
Additionally, the ECP revealed that terrorists had deliberately destroyed polling material at 15 polling stations. As a response, re-voting has been scheduled for February 15 at these affected polling stations.
The decision to order re-polling in these constituencies stems from the significant disruptions and irregularities observed during the initial polling process. The ECP aims to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and provide a fair and transparent opportunity for voters in these constituencies to exercise their democratic right.
The electoral watchdog’s move to withhold results and schedule re-polling demonstrates its commitment to upholding the principles of free and fair elections, addressing incidents that may compromise the legitimacy of the electoral outcomes. By taking corrective measures, the ECP aims to maintain public trust in the electoral system and ensure that the voice of the people is accurately and impartially reflected in the final results.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
