CEO of ChatGPT wants to use AI to help Israel

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, the organisation that created ChatGPT, has made suggestions about plans to look into investment prospects in Israel.

According to Altman, artificial intelligence (AI) can be a key component in reducing the threats the nation faces. Altman is running a global lobbying campaign to support government-led legislation in this area as part of his efforts to promote ethical AI usage.

Altman is anticipated to have conversations about the potential advantages and dangers posed by AI while he is in Israel. In Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, India, and South Korea, he will also meet with political leaders and key figures.

Similar meetings are said to have been held in May by Altman in both Europe and the US.

During his conversation with Israel’s President Isaac Herzog, Altman stated his conviction that Israel is set to play a key role in the sphere of technology.

He cited a Stanford University study from recently that placed Israel among the top five nations for notable machine learning systems and the concentration of AI expertise. Altman’s remarks highlighted Israel’s potential and promising prospects in the field of AI.

Microsoft, an OpenAI supporter, acknowledged in a statement published in Hebrew, according to Reuters, that Altman was looking into “different investment opportunities in Israel.”

Altman also reportedly reassured individuals about concerns regarding the impact of AI on job opportunities. He emphasised that there will always be valuable roles for individuals in a variety of disciplines, even as automation grows.
