Despite their initial scepticism, passengers embraced the new technology, which pleased Michelin’s technical and scientific communications director, Cyrille Roget.
He was pleased with the feedback from the passengers, who said there was no difference between the airless tyres and conventional tyres. Michelin considers the UPTIS (Unique Puncture Proof Tyre System) to be an important step towards sustainability.
