Pakistani actor Alizeh Shah has once again grabbed headlines, this time with bold comments about fellow celebrities Saba Faisal and Nida Yasir, saying “they got what they deserved” in the wake of recent controversies surrounding both industry figures.
The 25-year-old actress, who rose to fame with roles in Superstar and the hit drama Ehd-e-Wafa, shared blunt remarks on her Instagram Stories, reacting to the widespread public criticism aimed at the senior stars.
Alizeh’s statements came after Saba Faisal, a veteran of Pakistani television, faced backlash for controversial comments about daughters-in-law and their roles, which many viewers labelled outdated and insensitive. At the same time, morning show host Nida Yasir was widely criticised for remarks made about food delivery riders, comments that triggered a social media storm and eventually led to her issuing a public apology.
In her post, Alizeh wrote sarcastically to Saba Faisal that after working together on two projects, the senior artist still didn’t find her “natural,” suggesting that recent controversies have made the public re-evaluate past industry dynamics. Speaking about Nida Yasir, she implied the host may have learned poor work practices, like not compensating artists properly, from her husband, veteran director Yasir Nawaz.
Social media users have been quick to respond, with many applauding Alizeh’s courage and directness, while others criticised her tone as unnecessarily harsh for a young star challenging established names.
This latest episode adds fuel to ongoing discussions about professionalism, generational dynamics, and respect in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, with Alizeh Shah now at the centre of the debate once again.
