Sindh Announces Updated Winter Regulations for Private Schools

The Sindh Education Department has prohibited private schools from requiring students to wear winter jackets of specific colors or designs, following instructions from Education Minister Sardar Shah.

In an official notification, the Directorate of Private Institutions directed all private schools in the province to stop enforcing uniform-specific winter jackets. Additional Director Rafia Javed emphasized that students can wear any warm clothing of their choice.

She added that schools cannot force students to purchase or wear jackets of a particular style or color, warning that strict action will be taken against institutions that violate this order.

Minister Sardar Shah highlighted that students’ health and comfort should be the top priority during the cold season. He stressed that children may wear any suitable winter jacket, and schools must not pressure parents into buying specific uniforms.
