The UAE has introduced new visa facilitation measures to simplify travel for Pakistani nationals. The reforms aim to make visa applications faster and more convenient.
Under the new system, Pakistanis can apply for online visas and e-visas without passport stamping. Officials said the UAE is currently processing nearly 500 visa applications daily for Pakistani nationals. These steps are expected to support business visitors, residents, and professionals traveling between the two countries.
The announcement was made during a meeting between UAE Ambassador Salem M Salem AlBawab Al Zaabi and Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division. Both sides highlighted that improved system-to-system coordination with Pakistani authorities would make visa processing smoother and reduce delays.
Ambassador Al Zaabi praised the contributions of Pakistani professionals in sectors such as banking, defence, public administration, and finance. He emphasized that deepening UAE-Pakistan bilateral engagement remains a key priority.
The meeting also focused on expanding economic cooperation. Both nations expressed interest in sectors like information technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture, mining, logistics, higher education, ports, financial services, and virtual assets. The UAE aims to attract Pakistani technology firms and encourage further investment in Pakistan.
Defence cooperation and training exchanges were also discussed. Officials reaffirmed a commitment to strengthening long-standing military ties. Collaboration in security and defence remains a cornerstone of UAE-Pakistan relations.
Analysts said the new visa measures, combined with growing economic and defence cooperation, reflect stronger ties between the UAE and Pakistan. The reforms are expected to increase travel, trade, and investment flows.
