Pakistan’s bikes industry achieved a record-breaking performance during fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), with motorcycle and three-wheeler sales reaching their highest levels ever as consumer demand continued to strengthen.
According to a report by Arif Habib Limited, bikes sales surged to 1.932 million units in FY26, surpassing the previous all-time record of 1.853 million units recorded in FY21. Including three-wheelers, total industry sales climbed to 1.974 million units, setting a new milestone for Pakistan’s automotive sector.
The impressive growth marks a strong recovery after the slowdown witnessed in FY23 and FY24, when high inflation and weak consumer purchasing power affected vehicle sales. Analysts believe the latest figures reflect improving economic conditions, rising household confidence, and increasing demand for affordable transportation.
Atlas Honda maintained its dominant position in the bikes market by selling a record 1.69 million motorcycles during FY26. The company accounted for nearly 88 percent of total motorcycle sales, reinforcing its position as Pakistan’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer.
United Auto secured the second spot in the market, recording annual sales of approximately 190,800 units. The company continued to benefit from steady demand for economical commuter motorcycles across the country.
In the three-wheeler segment, Sazgar Engineering remained the market leader after selling 28,600 units during the fiscal year. The company continued to perform strongly in the commercial transport sector, where rickshaws remain an important mode of passenger and cargo transportation.
Industry experts say the record performance highlights the resilience of Pakistan’s bikes market and signals renewed momentum in the automotive industry. With inflation showing signs of easing and consumer spending gradually improving, demand for motorcycles and three-wheelers is expected to remain healthy in the coming months. The latest sales figures also demonstrate the growing preference for bikes as an affordable and fuel-efficient transportation option for millions of Pakistanis.
