Actress Maimoona Quddus recently revealed that homosexuality is more common in Lahore’s showbiz industry than in other cities, including Karachi.
In a podcast, she explained that while such activities exist in Karachi, Lahore hosts open parties and gatherings where they are more visible. Quddus suggested these matters should remain private rather than publicly displayed.
She criticized Lahore’s entertainment sector for unethical behavior, saying many people there exaggerate wealth and status. In contrast, she praised Karachi as a more professional environment, where relationships are often transactional and expectations are clearly defined.
Quddus also highlighted the persistent issue of the “casting couch,” noting that sexual exploitation affects both men and women in the industry, marking it as a serious concern in Pakistan’s entertainment world
