Pakistani Rupee Extends Winning Streak Against US Dollar

The Pakistani Rupee continued its positive trend against the US Dollar on Thursday. It closed higher for the 219th consecutive day.

The Pakistani Rupee closed at 277.65 against the US Dollar. It gained one paisa during the latest trading session.

The local currency has maintained its upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025. The latest movement extended this long-running streak.

The continued performance has kept the exchange rate relatively stable. The dollar remained around the 277.65 level during Thursday’s trading.

Pakistani Rupee Performance Against Other Currencies

The Pakistani Rupee remained almost unchanged against the UAE Dirham. It also stayed stable against the Saudi Riyal.

The local currency recorded stronger gains against several other major currencies. It gained 88 paisas against the British Pound.

The rupee also strengthened by 37 paisas against the Euro. These were among its larger gains against major currencies during Thursday’s session.

The Pakistani Rupee gained 31 paisas against the Australian Dollar. It also improved by 29 paisas against the Canadian Dollar.

The rupee posted a smaller gain against the Malaysian Ringgit. It strengthened by around one paisa against the currency.

The local currency also recorded a marginal gain against the Chinese Yuan. The change was less than one paisa.

The UAE Dirham stood at 75.5989 against the rupee. The Saudi Riyal was recorded at 73.9499.

The US Dollar closed at 277.6522 based on the reported exchange rates. It had closed at 277.6605 in the previous session.

The Euro was recorded at 319.9803 on Thursday. It had stood at 320.3508 one day earlier.

The British Pound fell to 374.2613 from 375.1471. This resulted in an 88-paisa gain for the Pakistani Rupee.

The Australian Dollar closed at 195.6615. The Canadian Dollar was recorded at 199.0125 during the latest session.

Exchange Rate Stability

The rupee’s continued gains have kept its performance in focus. Businesses and investors closely monitor currency movements.

Exchange rate changes can affect import costs and international transactions. They can also influence the prices of goods linked to foreign currencies.

The latest data shows that most currency movements remained limited. The largest gains were recorded against the British Pound and Euro.
