Peace Restored in Kurram District Following Diplomatic Efforts

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram District has seen peace restored, thanks to the dedicated diplomatic efforts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, according to Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the province’s Advisor on Information and Public Relations. The resolution involved the removal of nearly 979 bunkers and weapons from both sides of the conflict.

Saif highlighted that 86 villages have been disarmed, with all confiscated arms and ammunition now secured under government control. He noted that the main source of tension was the presence of these bunkers and weapons, which have now been eliminated.

In a humanitarian move, the chief minister deployed his personal helicopter for aid delivery. Over 338 sorties transported more than 29,000 kilograms of medicines, while over 9,000 people, including patients, were evacuated safely to Peshawar and other safe locations.

Looking ahead, development is accelerating in Kurram, with Rs100 million allocated for repairing the Tall-Parachinar Road, signaling a hopeful new chapter for the region’s stability and growth.
