Hina Rabbani Khar Praises Trump’s Peace Stance, Urges Focus on Kashmir Resolution
Former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, speaking outside Parliament House, praised Donald Trump for his consistent stance on peaceful conflict resolution, calling him a leader demonstrating “real leadership” during times of global tension.
“God bless Trump,” Khar said, applauding his repeated calls for dialogue and de-escalation. “He’s shown what the world expects from its leaders — swift response to conflict and a focus on root causes.”
Khar emphasized that Kashmir remains the core dispute between Pakistan and India. “Pakistan doesn’t seek escalation — we seek resolution. Kashmir must be addressed in accordance with the UN Charter,” she stated.
She cautioned against miscalculations in high-stakes conflict, pointing out that India had twice launched attacks on a nuclear-armed neighbour. “No rational actor behaves this way,” she warned, describing India as an irrational adversary in the current situation.
Despite the heightened tensions, Khar expressed hope, noting the emergence of new diplomatic norms and urging a return to reason over aggression.
