The government has officially declared May 1 (Wednesday) a nationwide public holiday to mark Labour Day, paying tribute to the contributions and struggles of the working class. As part of the observance, all government and private offices, educational institutions, and markets across the country will remain closed for the day.
Labour Day is commemorated annually in Pakistan to express solidarity with workers and to advocate for their rights, welfare, and fair working conditions.
