Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan is likely to return to Adiala Jail after receiving medical treatment, PML-N Senator Nasir Butt claimed.
Speaking to ARY News, Nasir Butt ruled out speculation that Khan could be shifted to Bani Gala after his treatment.
He also rejected suggestions that the PTI founder could benefit from a political deal or be released following an agreement.
“After his treatment, the situation will remain the same. He will return to Adiala,” Butt said.
He added that Imran Khan would not remain in hospital once his medical treatment had been completed.
Butt said there was currently no indication of any agreement between the government and the PTI founder.
He also dismissed claims of a conspiracy surrounding Khan’s current situation and rejected speculation about a major political development.
“There is no deal and no conspiracy,” Butt said while commenting on the situation surrounding the PTI founder.
The PML-N lawmaker argued that expectations of a major political turnaround for Imran Khan had so far not materialised.
His comments came after the Supreme Court ordered Khan’s transfer from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital for a comprehensive medical examination.
The court also ordered the formation of a medical board to assess Khan’s health and directed authorities to submit his complete medical record.
The Supreme Court further instructed PTI to ensure that no rallies, processions or protests were held outside the hospital during Khan’s treatment.
Nasir Butt also criticised the PTI’s planned September 27 protest mobilisation.
He questioned the party’s claim that it would bring two million people onto the streets during the planned protest.
Butt referred to previous PTI announcements of large-scale protests and claimed that they had failed to attract comparable numbers.
The PTI has maintained that its decision regarding the September 27 mobilisation remains in place.
Nasir Butt also criticised Imran Khan’s political approach and his criticism of state institutions.
He argued that Khan’s political rhetoric had made political reconciliation more difficult.
The latest comments come as Khan’s medical condition remains under judicial scrutiny following the Supreme Court’s hospital transfer order.
The court’s directions have placed Khan’s medical treatment and health records under formal judicial review.
However, any decision regarding Khan’s future detention or release will depend on court proceedings and official decisions.
