Rawalpindi Imposes Strict Regulations on Loudspeaker Use in Mosques

Authorities in Rawalpindi have decided to take strict legal action against the unauthorized use of loudspeakers in mosques. The City Police Officer (CPO) has officially issued an order, instructing law enforcement to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

Loudspeaker Use Limited to Azaan and Friday Sermons

According to the directive, loudspeakers will only be permitted for the call to prayer (Azaan) and Friday sermons. Any additional use, including speeches, religious gatherings, or public announcements, will not be allowed.

Strict Monitoring & Legal Consequences

All Station House Officers (SHOs) have been ordered to strictly monitor mosques in their respective areas and enforce these restrictions. Immediate legal action will be taken against violators in accordance with the law.

Objective: Maintaining Public Order

The decision aims to prevent disturbances and ensure that loudspeakers are not misused in ways that could disrupt public peace. Authorities have warned that legal proceedings will be initiated against anyone failing to comply with the new rules.
