Gold Surges to Rs439,966 Per Tola in Pakistan

Gold and silver prices have surged once again in both the international and local markets after witnessing two consecutive declines. The latest increase has pushed gold prices in Pakistan to near-record levels, adding pressure on buyers and investors.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by a massive Rs7,250, taking it to Rs439,966 per tola. The sharp rise reflects renewed strength in global precious metals markets and increased demand for safe-haven assets.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,525, reaching Rs375,947. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also recorded a significant rise of Rs5,925, climbing to Rs344,923.

Market analysts attribute the increase to fluctuations in international gold prices, currency movements, and investor demand. The latest surge comes after two days of declines, indicating continued volatility in the precious metals market.

Jewellers and traders expect gold prices to remain sensitive to global economic developments, inflation trends, and central bank policies in the coming weeks.
