Gold prices in Pakistan continued to decline for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, following a downward trend in global markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the per tola gold rate dropped by Rs2,400, settling at Rs306,300. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs2,058, reaching Rs262,602.

In the international market, gold also recorded losses, with the per ounce rate falling by $24 to $2,916. A day earlier, gold prices in Pakistan had declined by Rs800 per tola, closing at Rs308,700, while the 10-gram rate dropped by Rs686 to Rs265,346.
Earlier this month, gold prices hit an all-time high due to concerns over potential currency devaluations. Experts suggest that countries opposing US policies are increasing gold purchases as a hedge against economic instability, contributing to record-high prices globally and locally.
