Lahore Administration Rejects PTI’s Request for Rally at Minar-e-Pakistan
LAHORE – The local administration has officially rejected PTI’s request to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on February 8. The decision was made in light of other major events scheduled in the city and based on the recommendation of the District Intelligence Committee.
The rejection also cited PTI’s past rallies, which were alleged to have violated the code of conduct, as a contributing factor in denying the request.

Earlier on Thursday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had directed Lahore’s deputy commissioner to make a decision regarding PTI’s application to hold the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan. The petition was filed by Aaliya Hamza, PTI’s Punjab chief organizer.
Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Lahore Deputy Commissioner Syed Moosa Raza were present during the court hearing. The deputy commissioner submitted a report to the court regarding PTI’s request to hold the rally on February 8.
