JUI-F Announces Nationwide Protest Tomorrow

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl has announced a nationwide protest scheduled for tomorrow following the killing of its provincial leader Maulana Muhammad Idrees.

Party leaders expressed deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as a serious breakdown of law and order. Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman strongly criticized the prevailing security situation and questioned how long such repeated incidents would continue without effective protection for citizens.

He stated that if the government is unable to ensure public safety, then its legitimacy is being seriously questioned. He further announced that protests would be organized in all districts, with demands for immediate and decisive action to restore peace and security.

Speaking in Peshawar, he alleged that religious scholars are being repeatedly targeted and accused the provincial authorities of failing to maintain law and order over several years. He added that the deteriorating situation reflects a worsening security environment and said the demonstrations would also be directed against both provincial and federal governments.

In a separate development, the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has also announced the launch of a nationwide political movement after Eid-ul-Adha against the current government.

Party leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman criticized what he described as an unfair economic system, arguing that it is being sustained at the expense of ordinary citizens. He called upon lawyers, civil society members, and other segments of society to join the movement.

He further alleged that public revenues collected through various taxes and levies are being redirected toward independent power producers, while political power has remained concentrated in the hands of a few families for decades without meaningful reform.

Hafiz Naeem stated that despite public sacrifices, state institutions have failed to ensure justice or accountability. He emphasized the need for a new political direction and leadership, and confirmed that his party will avoid joining any alliances based on personal or political interests.
