The arrest of popular Pakistani TikTok star Zulqarnain Sikander has captured significant public attention, with details of the incident and charges against him gradually emerging. Following the recent incarceration of YouTuber Rajab Butt, Sikander’s detention has left his fans shocked.
Zulqarnain Sikander, widely recognized for his engaging vlogs and social media presence, has amassed nearly 17 million followers on TikTok, making him a prominent figure among Pakistan’s digital creators. His arrest, which occurred during a wedding event, surprised fans as videos surfaced showing him in police custody. Sikander later shared his frustration on Instagram, describing the arrest as baseless and claiming it was an attempt to defame him.

Authorities, however, stated that Sikander was apprehended for allegedly displaying illegal firearms during the wedding celebrations. According to a tip-off, he and two others were detained in Gujranwala for openly showcasing unlicensed weapons. The police seized firearms and ammunition from the suspects, one of whom claimed to be Sikander’s bodyguard.
An FIR filed at Subzi Mandi Police Station detailed that the suspects were caught with illegal weapons, leading to their arrest. Sikander is accused of being complicit in the unlawful possession and display of firearms.
While the investigation continues, Sikander maintains that the charges are false and part of a conspiracy to damage his reputation. The incident has raised questions about the accountability of public figures and the laws surrounding firearms in Pakistan.
