The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has warned of an incoming cold wave expected to sweep across Saudi Arabia in early winter, with temperatures predicted to plummet to -3°C in some regions starting Sunday.
NCM spokesperson Hussain Al Qahtani stated that the cold air mass will significantly impact areas like Tabuk, Al Jawf, Northern Borders, Hail, and parts of the Eastern Province from Sunday to Tuesday. Minimum temperatures in these regions could range from 0°C to -3°C.

By Monday and Tuesday, the cold front is anticipated to spread to Al Qassim, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, where temperatures may drop between 2°C and 5°C. Strong winds accompanying the cold weather are likely to cause dust storms, particularly on Sunday and Monday, affecting visibility in regions including Mecca and Medina.
Residents are advised to stay updated through official NCM channels, follow safety measures, and prepare for reduced visibility due to dust storms in affected areas. Authorities urge vigilance to mitigate risks during this extreme weather event.
