[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]LAHORE: On Saturday, an audio tape of a conversation between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid and the police officer leaked, adding to the controversy surrounding the former police chief of Lahore, Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.
After being reinstated as the Lahore CCPO by a Supreme Court court on Friday, the PTI leader asks the police officer in the leaked tape if he has got the posting instructions. The policeman responded that he hadn’t received any orders, according to the audio tape.
Without mentioning any specific individuals, the former Punjabi health minister claimed that the purpose of her phone conversation was to learn more about “their goals.” She implied that PTI leader Imran Khan was “concerned” about the problems surrounding the reinstatement of the former Lahore police commander by saying that he was. Mr. Dogar responded that his team was waiting to hear the orders while the files will be signed after the court session. She claimed she had informed Imran Khan that Mr. Dogar hadn’t gotten the orders yet.
Dr. Rashid asked the policeman if “their night will be passed quietly” throughout the conversation. The PTI leader instantly remarked that she had asked a “tough question right at the beginning” as Mr. Dogar paused for a brief while. In response, the policeman expressed his hope that things would go smoothly
It should be emphasised that the audio clip was released soon after the Supreme Court suspended the Punjab caretaker government’s notification of the transfer of CCPO Dogar. The former chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s communication with his attorney about Mr. Dogar’s case was posted on social media just a few days ago, making this the most recent audio leak involving Mr. Dogar.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, denounced the phone tapping in light of these exposed recordings and bemoaned the fact that his conversation on the prime minister’s office guarded line was also recorded and posted on social media.
