Lahore’s air quality dropped into the Hazardous category again on Sunday, with the city topping the World’s Most Polluted Cities list.
The air quality index (AQI) in Lahore surged to nearly 700 in the morning before lowering to around 350 by noon.

Health experts reported a spike in respiratory issues among Lahore residents, including coughs, viral infections, and sore throats. Due to the hazardous air, authorities are urging the public to take precautions.
Residents are advised to wear masks and goggles, limit outdoor exposure, keep windows closed to block polluted air, and use air purifiers indoors for better air quality.
