In a distressing incident from Luoyang, Henan Province, China, a woman left her two young children on the air conditioning unit outside their 23rd-floor apartment following a fight with her husband.
Neighbors reported hearing the children’s cries and recorded a video of the scene, showing the kids sitting precariously without any safety gear. While the daughter was crying in fear, her brother remained silent. The confrontation between the couple prevented the father from reaching the children, although the reasons behind their fight remain unclear.

Local residents quickly alerted the police, prompting a response from the firefighting team, which successfully rescued the children. An official from the local Women and Children’s Federation stated that they are currently investigating the situation. As of now, it is unclear if the mother will face any legal consequences.

In a related incident earlier this month, a father in southwestern China was arrested after reportedly whipping his two young sons with an electric wire for drawing on neighbors’ cars. Doctors found that the boys had sustained multiple bruises and soft tissue injuries from the punishment.
