In a remarkable blunder, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Lahore was arrested after inadvertently sending a bribe request of Rs 70,000 to a senior officer instead of the intended citizen.

ASI Waseem, who works in the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS), made the money request, but it mistakenly reached his superior’s inbox. The senior officer, unimpressed by this “clerical error,” promptly ordered Waseem’s arrest, resulting in his quick detention.
