Pakistanis marked the 77th Independence Day anniversary across the country on Wednesday.
In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hoisted the national flag at a ceremony to commemorate the occasion.
A flag hoisting ceremony also took place at Quaid’s Mausoleum in Karachi, attended by people from all walks of life, including students. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah participated in the event, joined by provincial officials.
Earlier, a fireworks display was held at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan to celebrate Pakistan’s birthday.
Additionally, the Sikh community in Peshawar joined in the Independence Day celebrations.
