The Turkish warship TCG KINALIADA has arrived in Pakistan for discussions on joint sea patrols

KARACHI – The Turkish naval vessel TCG KINALIADA has arrived at Karachi port on a goodwill mission, as announced by the Pakistan Navy. Upon arrival, the vessel was met at sea by a Pakistan Navy ship and later received a warm welcome at the port by senior naval officials and Turkish consulate staff. During the visit, the commanding officer of the Turkish ship is scheduled to meet with Pakistan Navy field commanders and other dignitaries. The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including planning coordinated sea patrols and addressing other professional matters.

This visit highlights the enduring historical and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkey, underscored by recent acquisitions of MILGEM Corvette ships by Pakistan from Turkey. Turkey provides advanced naval technology and shipbuilding support to Pakistan, while both nations regularly conduct joint drills to enhance their maritime capabilities.
