PMDC Opens MDCAT 2026 Registration – Apply Online

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially opened the online registration portal for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, allowing aspiring medical and dental students across the country to submit their applications. The national entrance examination is scheduled to be held on August 16, 2026, and is a mandatory requirement for admission to public and private medical and dental colleges in Pakistan.

According to the PMDC, candidates must complete their online registration by July 8, 2026, to avoid paying a late fee. Students who miss the standard deadline will still have an opportunity to register during a grace period, which will remain open until July 13, 2026, subject to payment of the prescribed late registration fee. The council has advised applicants to complete the process as early as possible to avoid last-minute issues.

The PMDC has issued a strict advisory urging students to submit their applications only through the official registration portal within the announced deadlines. Officials emphasized that no extensions beyond the notified schedule should be expected and encouraged candidates to carefully review all eligibility and application requirements before submitting their forms.

The council also warned students against relying on unofficial information circulating on social media and other unverified platforms. Applicants have been advised to obtain updates, notifications, and examination-related information exclusively through the official PMDC website to avoid misinformation regarding registration, examination centres, or admission procedures.

The MDCAT is one of the most important examinations for students aspiring to pursue careers in medicine and dentistry. It serves as the standardized entrance test for admission to both public and private sector medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. Every year, thousands of candidates compete for limited seats, making the examination highly competitive.

With the examination set for August 16, thousands of students are expected to appear at designated centres nationwide. The PMDC has encouraged candidates to complete their registration well before the deadline and begin their preparations for the exam to ensure a smooth application process and avoid unnecessary delays.
